Copenhagen Energy Islands (CEI) enters MoU with Korea Energy Technology University (KENTECH) for cooperation on offshore energy hubs, HVDC and PtX

Based on the Memorandum of Understanding, the two organizations plan to materialize the concepts of an offshore energy hub, HVDC, and PtX and derive technical and economic feasibility through joint research in the early development stage of the offshore energy hub, subsea HVDC, and PtX systems being promoted in Korea.

Park Jin-ho, Acting President of Korea University of Energy Technology, said, "Through joint research on the Korean offshore energy hub, HVDC, and PtX, the two institutions will contribute to solving the shortage of onshore power grids in Korea and promoting future energy technologies." And "We hope that the cooperation between the two organizations will be a great boost for Korea's high-tech industry to quickly build critical infrastructure to facilitate the supply and demand of carbon-free electricity."
